Beginning November 1, 2020, The Bahamas will drop their quarantine restrictions. The new restrictions require citizens and residents to get an RT-PCR (swab) test. The test must be no more than seven days before travel to The Bahamas.
Breakdown of The New Protocol for The Bahamas
Upon arrival, a rapid antigen test will take place. Then in four days (96 hours) after arrival in The Bahamas, another one will take place.
If you are departing The Bahamas on the fourth day, you are exempt from taking another rapid test.
Children under the age of ten, pilots and crew of commercial airlines who remain overnight in The Bahamas are exempt from taking the RT-PCR test.
The costs of the rapid tests on and after arrival are included in the cost of the travel visa.
Under the current restrictions, both visitors and residents are required to quarantine for 14 days after a negative COVID Test.
